MScIF Overview

The Online Master Program “Master of Science in International Finance” (MScIF) is offered by FHR School of Business in cooperation with the renowned and tone setting Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business and the
University of the West Indies, both located in Trinidad & Tobago. The program is a 24 months (blended) parttime program that is designed to train and develop your proficiency in the use of financial management tools and techniques within the context of local, regional and international business operations.

Who should do this program

The MSc IF will enhance the capacity of Finance and Risk Analysts, Business Development and Portfolio Managers and Auditors to advance your career in finance by expanding your capacity for leadership and by enhancing your competence in high-level strategic financial management and decision-making. It will prepare you for high-level positions, which demand a holistic and intuitive approach to financial management.

Admission Requirements and process

Admission Requirements:

  • Academic: A first degree in Financial, Accounting, Management, Economics, Project Management, Engineering with honours from a recognized University, ACCA or other professional qualification in Finance and a minimum of two (2) years working experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Mature Entry: Professional qualification in Finance, Insurance or Banking and a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a senior managerial position, in a finance-related field.

Delivery mode

The MSc IF is delivered via Black Board Collaborative (BBC). The BBC technology enables remote interaction between lecturers and students and provides the ability to view presentations, lecturer’s whiteboard notes and to participate in discussions from a remote location. The platform is used for real time not pre-recorded sessions, to ensure that students are engaged and participate fully in learning with the rest of their cohort. A reliable high-speed internet connection from your remote location’s computer is a prerequisite.


The course design employs a variety of group projects and activities, simulations, the analysis of local and international financial case studies, which will enable you to gain realistic, practical and global insights into the key aspects of financial and international business.
